Can I use 205/70-14?

The orginal tires are 195/70-14.

Does anybody have experience in using larger tires than that, such as 205/70-14? The dimeter is just a few % larger, but does it touch anything?

How will the handling be affectet? Better or worse?

I'd like to keep the 14in wheels.

I've got a '74 3,3L , Mfather wanted to fit 205 on original 20 spokes alloys(6j x 14").
if you steer alot wheels on bad street, 205s will probably touch the front wheelarches..My father had to change the chromed trims of wheelarches on both sides for that reason.I don't know what model you own, not every e3 has got that chromed trims, but pay attention....

6.5 wide 14' whls with Yoko avid t4. I went w/215/60s AND STILL HAVE ROOM TO GO WIDER. A footnote: the summer shoes for this car is a set of 750i whheee-ls wearing 225/60's----yes you heard right: 225's on 15 inch wheels.
