    AFR ratio

Recently i bought the innovatemotorsport LM-1 wideband lambda sensor system

When testing it said the AFR was down to 10.8-11 ..... at 15psi boost
But at this AFR whould the engine not produce huge clouds of black smoke/eg. not run at all ?

    thanx.

    Re: AFR ratio

10.8-11 is really rich. It should be around 12-12.5 for turbocharged engines. It will run, but will be kind of sluggish. My car was running at around 10:1 for a while, until i tuned it to be leaner. Not sure about the smoke around 11:1, but at 10:1, it had a bunch of black smoke, and left marks on the ground while revving in place. I really need to get a WB-o2 sensor system.
