Hey rwok! VA inspection question for you.

I saw in a previous post that you're a VA inspector and I need some guidance, if you wouldn't mind. The lens on my ellipsoid headlight (1989 535i) has been cracked by an unfriendly rock. The light functions fine. Will that pass, or do I need to replace it? I'm due in March so I have a little working time to fix it, although I'd rather wait for a new set of Euro Smiley's (or are they actually illegal?). Thanks

Well to answer your question if the light is cracked it will more than likely not pass. That most time depends on the inspector(if he sees it or not). As for the euro lights they are illeagal if for no other reason they don't have a dot number on them. most shops will overlook these lights and pass them. I'm running those in my e-36 and love them to death
