IN 1st pic looks like the new 3er next to the 7er. Anybody have any other thoughts on what it may be?

    Real?

Agree with ipse dixit. What is the real difference? Is BMW going to start putting body colored tape on the cars as a "facelift?"

Standard test-mule dress up is common for test purposes. It keeps people guessing and purposely makes the cars look fugly. Look closely and you will se thatthe lower valence is different and no real improvement over the existing design. Seems that the area of contreversy is not the lower valence and this "facelift" does nothing to address it. Look even closer and you will see the hood itself is some sort of skin that has a distinct reveal at the fender edge on the driver's side that does not meet the existing edge as well as a lip that hangs over into the middle of the kidney grilles.

Here's a better one for 'ya from the same test session... Do you really think BMW will produce a new 3-series whose final iteration looks anything like this:

    '91 850i - Diamond Black/Parchment
    '95 850CSi - Cosmos Black/Lotus White (#166)
    '03 745Li - Titanium Silver/Grey
    '97 Mercedes E320 - Smoke Silver/Oyster
    '68 Dodge Hemi-Charger (Under Re-construction)

    A little misunderstanding...

...of course I can see that it is a test-mule with camouflage, I've been a spypicture fanatic for years...
