Dallas Auto Show report...
Worst Dallas Auto Show in recent memory. I thought last year was bad until I went this year. Admission price is up to $10 now and parking in the garage is now $8 (seems like it was $8 and $6 last year, but I'm getting older and the memory just doesn't work as well).
BMW showed a 645ci on the rotating platform (I have no postive comments about this car). Everything else is from current inventory. Other cars of note at the show: Maserati Quatroporte, Ferrari 612, Maybach 57, Lambo (both models), Jag XJR ($87K, ouch!!!), VW Toureg V10 Diesel ($64K, double ouch). Acura showed the TL A-spec concept (pretty cool), Chevy had the SS concept (no comment), Ford had the GT and Mustang (looked identical to what was shown at the Fort Worth show a few weeks ago).
Last but not least: Caddy had 2 CTS-V's at the show. What a disappointing car!!! Worst interior I've seen a $50K car ever!!! I only thought my M5 stock shifter had a long throw...then I tried the CTS-V shifter and discovered that it's at least 50% longer if not close to 100%.
That's all I can think of right now...
