Re: another M3 in SWC GT (check it smt!)
Come to think of it I did hear on **********.com that Red Line Motors had bought the remaining PTG cars but I was thinking Redline BMW in the Ft Lauderdale area and not this team. either way nice to see another BMW in GT.
Hey Shane,
You see the H&R and B&M shifter ads with the TMS car in them in European Car. Pretty good PR for Will. Ill scan em in today as I just got home to cincy for SB

I saw them David. Good stuff. I guess I was
confused on the Redline Motorsports too. I thought it was Redline BMW. I just happy to see another BMW in GT.
Enjoy your Spring Break!

Re: another M3 in SWC GT (check it smt!)
Sorry I didn't see this until now. This is one of the PTG cars. Tom Milner mentioned the Stewart car when we visited there. Purcelville, VA is just down the road from Winchester. And I believe it's true that he's driven a Honda previously, but he's not typically made every race from what I can tell. Sounds like the M3 will be step up for them. Best of luck to them for sure.2002 AW/IR M3/SMG

Sorry to break it....
But the M3's stand no chance...they porformed poorly before but with huge reliability problems before and had to pull out. Then they had to illegally substitute with the wonderful V8 M3's as desperate measure. The rs6's just had a year of working the bugs out for a barand new and precocious release at the start of last season. Now they are ready. The I6 IS great THING but it can't take the beating. The V8's can but they are illegal for now.
They avoided embarrassment before by pulling out of head-to-head contests with Audi, so this year should be a lot of fun.
Whether BMW diehards like it or not, AUDI is just superior when it counts. For how truly WONDERFUL I6 M3's are and the illegal V8 M3's are, they are still no match to the S4's or RS6's- so called 'pigs' in these forums for their weight. They know they would lose
Audi has been winning CONSISTENTLY and convincingly.
The key here is control and handling. You can have a Vette or Porsche or RWD M3 with a lot of raw power but it doesn't put it over the edge when compared with a heavier Audi with a rock solid tenacity on the tarmac that give it an edge on cornering and stability. HP in all these cars is comparable in these contests. This is not Nascar where it's all about HP. It's about Grip, stability and braking advantage into corners.
BMW pulled out of any race that Audi enters. They even "forgot" to update the site since their last win in the Speed GT but at the end the RS6's ended up taking the whole contest. They just never mention anything on BMWMotorsport site of any Audi win. Which I understand and also LOVE because it proves how much insecurity and fraud is involved.
Can any one tell me how come one of the most storied, touted and hyped carmakers - BMW- is NOT part of the venerable and prestigious DEUTSCHE TOURENWAGEN MASTERS (DTM)?? That's where respect is won in Germany among the titans. The answer is a four letter word : Audi.
The new A4 coupes are just so promising, BMW ain't risking it.
The ultimate thing to watch for is when Audi ammasses enough cash to splurge on Formula One like Pitschrieder really wants. They already have the expertise. The LeMans R8 proved a great superiority in open wheel car design and forced the legendary BMW off the track into retirement. Audi would prove to BMW that it ain't that hard to beat Ferrari if you really have the goods.
I look forward to your responses. Remeber...Keep it Civil...Keep it objective and no chest-pumping based on hot air but only FACT...
Cheers.
N.

obviously you don't know what you are talking
about. there was never a V8 M3 in Speed World Challenge.
and DTM is a joke. The M3GTR which is based on a street car was faster at the 24hr Nurburgring than the DTM cars at the start.
Where is Audi in F1, ETCC, and BTCC??

My Videos and Links Page: http://members.roadfly.org/melmyers12/

I know ... truth hurts .... PATHETIC!!
It's hard to be confronted with facts after a lot of pompous hype. You are all little racer wanna-bes wanting to cling to a hope that props your insecurity... I feel for ya...
So DTM is nothing for ya and the "OH SO GREAT ETCC" is really a big deal for ya...with all its miserable low spec 320i's and Ford Focus domintating the grid. Go look at the DTM grid and regulation and prestige in the German market and read up on the press and talk to some real world people outside your computer room. ..
You are PATHETIC for saying that....
Favoring little 320i's over V8 A4's and AMG tuned C-classes. You just lost credibility right there.
And where is BMW in F1 either...They haven't won anything significant yet and can't get out of Ferrari's shadow. McLaren is about to surpass them too. They are about to lose their best drivers and have no great prospects because they are GOING NOWHERE.
Audi is about to dive in Formula One and they'll shut people up , just like they shut your little BMW out of LeMans series with either a 1-2-3 or 1-2 finishes 3 years in a row. Why didn't BMW stay and compete in that one???

angry much?
I am not sure what your problem is, but you still didn't admit that you don't know what you are talking about in Speed World Challenge. DTM is a joke, how many parts on those cars actually come for a production car? NONE. So how the_**** is it an Audi? Does a TT have a V8? Does a TT have a tube frame chassis and double wishbone suspension? Like I said, the M3GTR is already faster than the DTM cars, and it actually is derived from a street car... why are you so mad? inferiority complex from driving a bloated pig dog of a car?

My Videos and Links Page: http://members.roadfly.org/melmyers12/

Hey, creampuff, why are you too chicken to >
answer my question about your ultra-rude TROLLING of the E46 M3 board from last week?
Specifically, why do you insist on coming to a BMW enthusiasts' site just to bash BMW?
Isn't there an Audi site where you can do that? Or did they ban you for being a dikkikopfen arschlecher?

Why?
Because they did that and won that, including LeMans. Recall when the M3's appeared in GT and swept the driver, team, constructor and manufacturers champoinship there despite even being in every race..then Porsche whined....sound familar?
Well, BMW moved on to F1, earning a podium in their first race. Where's Audi there? They haven't stepped up to the most elite level of competition. Why? Because no matter how much they try, they just can't surpass BMW. Always follow?
Check the hp and torque differential between the M3's and the RS6 - to think that BMW actually won races and almost won the title last year despite the discrepancy..that's like Jqguar winning an F1 race.
Love your envy though....while the E46 M3 ALREADY outperforms the new S4 (despite being 3 years old and despite an Audi promise to surpass)in every performance category in recent tests, I can wait to see what the new M5 will do...
AUDI: Always follow..BMW's.
P.S. Aren't Audi's the cars that would mysteriously go backwards by "accident"?

you have to pity poor Audi though...
remember Lime Rock in the rain? But man those 4wd RS6 sure were handy getting out of the mud at Big Bend!

lol....
The E30 M3 alone has more touring car victories/championships than Audi has in the past 20 years. Audi doesn't even have a car to really compete with the M3 without wild nascar style weight regulations. Audi does about 1/100th of the racing BMW does and it still can't dominate the few places it does compete. Pathetic.
