1er supposed to be a 2002 successor?
Anyone know if the 1er is aimed to be a 2002ti spiritual successor?

I guess, it's not. BMW targets are clear. But.....

I just figured it being a sporty little coupe(eventually) and more practical BMW that it was supposed to be reminscent of the 2002ti's. Just food for thought mainly, curious to see what others thought about it.

Itīs the entry level BMW......
The o2 was the same back then.it originally started as 1602 with a 85hp 1.6 engine,they even made a 75hp 1502.I think US only got the 2liter versions,all were 4bangers,the most legendary bmw had never a 6cylinder(and no driver oriented dash)

hope not...
If I had the money, Id go for a E90(maybe) for a daily then have some sort of 2er coupe that would be stripped out for autocross or just fun driving.
