GruppeM Intake VS. Dinan Intake

Here's the deal - I'm scheduled to get the Dinan S2 package installed soon, including the intake, etc. My plan is to use the Eisenmann exhaust and to keep the rest Dinan. But I keep hearing about this GruppeM intake. Does anyone have any experience and/or facts about using the Eisenmann exhaust/GruppeM intake/Dinan S2? Any compatibility issues?

My goal is to get the best performance without sacrificing warranty/serviceability. Any feedback would be much appreciated.

    TIA

If you are willing to spend the $ for the complete

Dinan package then its definitly worth it IMO. If you lease your vehicle or dont plan on owning it for a long period of time then gruppem eisenmann is a great alternative.

    Can you elaborate?

    Why do you say that?

Any idea what the HP/Torque gains are? Differences, etc?

    Thanks,
    CM

HP gain from intake is supposed to be 14+

plus exhaust = possibly 25 total? not sure exactly but its a noticeable difference (both sound and performance). The gruppem/eisenmann race combo roars at high speeds and is as quiet as a mouse at idle. If you are concerned with warranty and dont mind spending an extra g or so i would go with the dinan. They are both great products and you wont make a mistake either way. Remember i didnt want to add software and wanted to be able to simply unbolt after my lease.

    Got an appointment at

BMW Gallery in Norwood. They're closer and seem good. Any feedback on them?

    Thanks again!

    Yeah right...

I haven't even met Jan in person yet and he's already sent the mod bugs swarming on me! I'm almost afraid to ask him questions because I might find out something else I want to change... ;)

    Re: ask janix [email protected]

Well as long as you don't have any aftermarket stereo/wheels on your car you should be safe :) ... For my part I don't think I'll get near them within a hundred miles (although the service manager (Charly) has been very good in handling the situation and tried to do the best he could)). Their work is not outstanding and has been lacking attention to detail but at last nothing fell off the car as I picked it up ... The story behind my Dinan S2 install can be found here ...

I personaly would give Concord Motorsport a try as they are a smaller shop (independent) and every time I visited them they've been very nice and seemed to know what they are talking about. You can contact Brian van Deinse at 603-226-BMWS or 888-477-2697 or speak to Dan (who is their Dinan rep). Labor is pretty reasonable as well at $65.00 per hour.
