2.5eta bottom with 2.3 top. Want to turbo
Can any one tell me if the stock eta bottom end will take a turbo? I have an 85 motorsport 323i with the eta 2.7 and my original 2.3 head heavily ported and polished.
It currently makes around 120rwhp though I expected more. It leans out after 4900rpm and am told I need a bigger fuel regulator and throttle body etc to make anywhere near the 210hp(flywheel) of the similar Alpina C2. I want big figures but dont know how strong the internals are as stock.I dont have a big budget so what is the minimum I could do to get say 220-250rwhp? IE; injectors, ecu, etc.
The other big factor is that there was no compression figures taken when it was built so am at a loss as to how much compression my motor does have. The head was not skimmed and the stock pistons are still in place. Can anyone out there help me work it out?
There are few people downunder willing to answer questions with BMW and turbo in the same question and the ones who can want an open cheque balance. Thanks
