    NE shows & concours?

    Does anyone know of a site or publication that lists car shows and/or concourses in NE? I get a few fliers at the shows I do attend, but most of them are for vintage hotrods and such.

    Best bet around Boston is Museum of Transportation

    Check out the link below. The Italian car day is particularly amazing! Always lots of Ferrari's and not just a bunch of 308's either. If the weather is good, some really rare cars have made the trip (288GTO, F40, F50, 512 race car...).

    Unfortunately the Concours de Elegance at Castle Hill has been canceled. The show was getting too big, and the local residents (min house value probably in the $5 mil. range) put an end to it. Shame because it was far and away the best show on the east coast.

    Other option is the Vintage weekend at Lime Rock. I went to the Concours day last summer where Shelby was the featured maker. I was REALLY disapointed with this one. I was expecting to see much better cars. The only saving grace was that BMW was offering free drives of the MINI Cooper Works and the Z4. The roads around Lime Rock were made for these cars, so that was fun.

    Concours at the Endicott Estate in Dedham

    I think its 7/11. A friend of mine told me they had 1000+ cars last year. Seems high, but I wasn't there to confirm. Will be this year though.

    Bob Bahre (owns NIS in Louden NH) has an outrageous car collection at his museumn in So. Paris, Maine. It is open one day a year to the public in Aug? or to clubs by appointment. VERY WORTH THE TRIP!!! Contact Pinetree chapter BMWCCA for help in finding this years date.
