Just moved to the are a few months ago...wondering how many other BMW owners are local? Are there any local BMW car clubs or events? Just looking to meet some new people that I have something in common with :)

yo.....local BMW CCA chapter is pretty active in
Lancaster. We just had a Tech session @ Faulkner BMW (scroll down on this page for the blurb I wrote on it)
Not much action as far as drives or meets but I'm always up for that if the day is open.
Newsletter in the Nittany Bimmer link lists upcoming events for the year.

I have an 00 M Coupe & 00 M Roadster. See a few E30/36 M3's around occasionally, mostly just the execs in their 540's & 740's.

Here is the local SCCA chapter. I don't do >>
anything w/the local BMW CCA, but I suggest you become a BMW CCA national member.

Agree with Jesse, join BMWCCA (national) and you
automatically are a member of the local chapter. You get the Roundel magazine, which can be interesting sometimes and has all the vendor, tuner, parts supplier adverts.in it.
Plus if you ever buy a used CPO BMW or new on from a dealer you get a rebate check ($500 for CPO but it varies with the model)

Hanover here
I am a member of DC CCA region as they have autox events etc. That is what I really enjoy. Note that there is an autox at grantsville next sunday. First for the season and my new Ground Control! WOO HOO! There should be a number of BMWs there, I have a black E30 M3. If you show up, stop by.
Later,
John

I\'m in Marietta....
Currently own a 82' 528e(s) but am looking for a newer BMW. I'm not a member of the BMWCCA yet, but when I get a newer BMW I will become a member. Marietta is 5 mins. from Mount Joy were the local BMW CCA chapter is located. You should join. Its only $35 a year.
My car has 15" American Racing wheels and I added the e28 sports package, sport seats, spoilers. Not much preformance upgrades but an eta doesnt' deserve it.

evo school and autox
I usually run in the susquehanna region autox events(much closer to home than dc) I also run in the bmwcca dc region events when I can. However, I think I will try to get into the national event in DC this year. It should be fun. I am running in the evolution driving school for autox in dc shortly. It is being put together by a couple of the local autox guys. Supposed to be very good school taught by national event drivers. Lemme know if your interested, I will find the link.

Re: I\'m in Marietta....
that is cool. I don't see that a lot either.
Have you ever been into Darrenkamps Grocery store in Mount Joy? I work in the meat department there, and had a short converstation with a guy a week or two ago about that too, was it you?
Right now I'm looking at a 91' 325iX but I'm just looking at late 80's e28's(5-series), later 80's and early to mid 90's e30/e36's(3 series) and mid to late 80's e24 (6 series). I'm not sure of which one I want but I'm still looking. I really like my car(e28's) and am looking mainly at 535i(s) but am also searching around at other things. If you go to the e30 board here or Mye28.com you can read about my finding of the 325iX. The only real reason I'm looking is because I wrecked my e28 and I don't feel as it is worth it because it is just an eta and its an 82'.
Kris
BTW: anybody here have anything to sell. I'm willing to travel to get what I want. TIA.
