AudiGuy,I think you have your race series confused

AudiGuys's Message: >>>But the M3's stand no chance...they porformed poorly before but with huge reliability problems before and had to pull out. Then they had to illegally substitute with the wonderful V8 M3's as desperate measure<<<

Are you sure you know what you are talking about?
Please show me when and where BMW/PTG put a V8 in an M3 in SWC GT.

Re: I\'d love to see audi try and compete in F1

audi's head honcho already conceded that it wasn't in their best interests to compete in F1. he's quoted as "...there are too many F1 contenders; ...the world doesn't need another" yeah right!(translation= we aren't capable of winning at this time). all but GM and VW are competing in the manufacturer era of Formula 1. each F1 contender knows there's only 1 top spot in the F1 circus, ...but they (still) compete anyhow!!! i'd rather show up and give it a go, rather than come up with excuses. as americans put it: VW's yellow with fear. m3's, r8's, SL600's, ...honestly, who cares? they're all in different catagories. that's why F1 is so important. in layman's terms, F1 racing determines who's simply the best. each make has to work under the same formula and it's an engineer's playground. if makes can succeed in F1, they can succeed in 'lowly, overweight' production cars any day. in fact, all the technology within today's cars, stem from F1 development. the engineering cylce in fact is usually 10 years. so the tech you see in your oh-so important R8's, M3s, etc were invented a decade early from F1 racing. i wonder what's running in today's current F1 venue? hmmm, mclaren road super car VS any top team F1 car? geez, do we even need to got there?
