S/C a 98 M Roadster (S52)
I am scheduled to install a RMS Stage II on my M.
Please sound off on how your engines - drivetrains lasted.
How long do blown engines last. 10K, 50K ? ? ?
Is it just a maintenance nightmare ?
Oil leaks ?
Blow head Gaskets ?
Melted pistons ?
Fried tires I can handle, its just the other major stuff.
I look forware to any input.

Re: S/C a 98 M Roadster (S52)
A lot depends on the quality of the software and how much boost you want to run. A very good place to check is the forced induction forum at Bimmerforums. There are numerous posters there with SC'd S52's and many with 10's of thousands of miles with no problems. In fact, blown motors are the exception rather than the rule.
Also, be advised that there are NUMEROUS reports of RMS software being responsible for melted engines, so you may want to look into the possibility of having someone else redo your tuning.
