Re: WIDE BODY LOOK????????????
I am running:
19 x 9 - 255/40-19 fronts
19 x 10 - 295/35-19 rears
And they fill the wells up pretty good. M.Mar

Re: WIDE BODY LOOK????????????
Here is my 740i with 255/45 18 all around. You can certainly go wider than this to get a more WIDE BODY LOOK...but the wider you go up front, the more uncomfortable it's going to be to drive. I find these 255's all ready make the steering "twitchy", even the smallest uneven surfaces or road irregularities means you need to stay on top of it!

Buzzman is correct. I have to really watch my
steering with my 255/40-19 fronts. She wants to "tram" all over the place if there is rutting on the road surface. M.Mar

A combination of wider wheels and (m)
perhaps modifying your offset/using wheel spacers might work.
However, I would stay close to OEM offset, NOT use spacers, and put the most tire on you can (as other posters here have mentioned).
I too have 255s in front, and while not horrible, they do follow the road and are especially sensitive to ruts...-Reed

Re: WIDE BODY LOOK????????????
Greetings,
I am in the market searching for the right tires for my car. I do have the 19" wheels from a 745 - which I love and they are fitted with
- Front - 245/45/19
- Rear - 275/40/19
I was very intreged to lean that one can fit 255 and 295 at the back - is this true? Are there any rubbing issues? Can you give me some feedback on the pros and cons please.
Seems like you have this upgrade and your feedback would be a huge help to me.
Thanks,
CB
