    Bluetooth upgrade

    I have a 2001 740iL sport and was wondering if any of you have upgraded your phone system with Bluetooth? I have a CPT-8000 and I really want to lose the Startac phone that came with the car, however, I don't want to lose the in-car functionality. Bluetooth is the answer, however, it's hard to find someone who's done this. any insight?

    Please let me know if you learn anything. My StarTAC died,
    BMW fixed it, UPS lost it. Hard to find a new StarTAC and
    I'd rather have an updated phone anyway.

    i saw a 745 with the same set up as the cpt phone.

    but it was a v60 phone instead

    Interestingly enough, I too recently purchased a 2001 BMW740i Sport, with the same phone, also wondering if I can upgrade to something with Bluetooth functionality, making use of the existing in-car phone system ..... Have you found any suitable answers ?

    I have a 740i1 with a StarTac phone and am considering upgrading to Bluetooth - BMW now has a Bluetooth Upgrade kit and I am looking for comments from anyone who has installed one.

    The bluetooth upgrade doesnt work for the startac phones. You'll have to upgraded your cradle.
