I saw in the flash!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Here in São Paulo-Brazil, the car is the same gray car of the wallpapers 180 the car was in one truck. The car looks fantastic( afriend of mine who is not BMW crazy like US, said that car will kill the A3 in sales), I found the kidney gorgeus very shark-like, and the lights are fantastic sculped. The truck driver said the car is in Brazil for the TV-Spot commercial who BMW is filming here in SP.

Re: I saw in the flesh!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Oh yeah the 4-pot models from BMW will probably be more popular than the A3 or Golf/GTI. However, both the A3 and GTI are offered with 250hp 3.2L V6s...as well as 190hp 2.8L V6s...
BMW is ignoring all the enthusiasts out there by not offering any 6-pot motors. If they ever make a 130i, that would be THE TOTAL HATCHBACK CAR!
Oh, and Audi has started to mate that 3.2L V6 to their double-clutch system (DSG)...can we have some real SMG in the 1?

The US market will only get 6cyl 1ers...
BMW is ignoring all the enthusiasts out there by not offering any 6-pot motors.
...according to BMW NA's CEO, Purves.
If they ever make a 130i, that would be THE TOTAL HATCHBACK CAR!
And, as for the European market, looks like they'll get a 135i.

Huh??
The ONE won't get a big I6.
Source?
FYI, the following TMs have been applied for by BMW:
118
120
122
125
130
135 (Europe, not in US)
218
220
222
225
230
M2
And for all enthusiasts; the M2 will eat those 4motion A3 and Golfs.
Yes. BTW, Automobile, May '04, p. 50, speculates that the M2 will have 300hp.

Re: A 130??
M2 may eat all those A3s and GTIs...but at what cost? A BMW "M" cost.
It's too bad we won't be seeing a 135i on these shores!

Re: Just a wild.......
And about those TM's, this no proof that some of those exotic models like the 135 will ever appear.
This is true, of course, but it does indicate that they do indeed have plans; however tentative they may be.
As for wild guesses, it's interesting that "135" was applied for on the same day as "560". Hmm, Alpina???
