Speed Channel got moved.....
I'm PO'd!!!
COX cable moved SpeedChannel to their digital network, and want me to pay even more!!!
I was paying $45 with Speed, now that want me to go to Difital and pay $60!!!
Hell, I only watch cartoons for my son Headline News and Speed, I hate paying more!!!
Did this happen to NE else??? Cox claims Speed made them do it.
Should I change to Direct TV???

It has been that way here for quite some time
But I have Comcast. You have to get digital and you could then buy every other package they have including the premium channels and still won't get Speed without paying $5.95 more per month. Comcast has a sub-basic package for $13.00 per month that includes about 4 local channels and a bunch of home shopping channels. Their next step up is expanded basic that has about 30 channels, of which only about 10 are worth anything that costs $42.00 per month. The digital package starts at $51.00. They have that huge gap in pricing just because the Feds say they have to provide cable to people for a reasonable price, hence the $13.00 sub-basic package. It is pretty disgusting. Before I moved, I got Speed with my digital package for free. But once I moved and got a new setup, the newer pricing kicked in and I had to pay for it. Oh, they also have HD channels, but you have to pay an extra $5.95 per month to get them. I wouldn't doubt they are going to find a way to charge for each of the primary colors too! Your picture is all funny colored...Oh, you don't have the Red color package, that will be an extra $5.95 per month...<html>

Time Warner Austin requires digital AND sports pkg
to get SPEED. They compress the hell out of it so it looks like ****e, too. DirecTV's base package includes speed for less, but I'm waiting to see how well their HD TiVo works...

Forget cable
DirecTV programming (including Speed) starts at $40/month (with free installation in up to 5 rooms). You can also pay an extra $99 for a DirecTIVO, so you can just program Season Passes of all your favorite shows. Tivo only adds $5 to your monthly.
I'm using VOOM, because they offer the most High-def programming, with no commitment.
