    DME MSS54HP --- HP=High Performance

    Word on the street is late 2003 and all 2004 E46 M3's are getting the MSS54HP DME's.
    They have a larger file for the computer 64K vis 32K.

    More likely more data logging and OBDII files

    More memory DOES NOT equal more performance on Digital Motor Electronics. The program algoritims (less OBDII data) would fit on a pair of 27C512 chips or maybe just one.

    Interesting normally you can't load the

    engine management software in another DME. I also know the processor speed is 25% better in the MSS54HP. Is it a reflection in the pic or is the partnumber ereased?

    JimC, Dinan and a few others have yet to offer software for the 2004 E46 M3, they are working on it.

    Oscar's software that he put into my DME was the 64K file size code.

    Oscar also has two CSL's to play with .... hmmm.

    I\'m not sure. I didn\'t realize we were talking CSL

    With the Alpa N or as I call it speed-density in place of the MAF, there will have to be additional mapping tables (depending on the resolution, could be huge), that obviously wouldn't fit on existing memory.
