Yup, especially since the replay showed it was HE>

who actually chopped MS, and his MS's wheels....right before JPM pushed his own teammate, Ralf, into the WET grass at 150 MPH!!!

JPM needs to SERIOUSLY grow up, SOON.

    More commentary >>>>>>>>>>>>

No action was taken over the incident by the race stewards, perhaps reflecting the impression that Montoya’s attempt to drive around the outside of Schumacher at Tosa was over-opimistic. Montoya, naturally, disagreed.

Nah, Michael forced him off as he should since JPM would do the same. I'm glad JPM put the move on Ralf who is too slow to have the responsibility of that position.

What did you think of Button

Im new to formula 1 racing but I am totally hooked. I've been very pleased with Jenson Button's performance as of late, as well as his optimism. MS during the interview even seemed impressed with Button's performance.

JPM needs to grow up. Its not a driving school... MS isn't going to point what side he wants JPM to pass him on. I wouldn't expect any driver to get off line for anybody. And calling another driver stupid, like JPM did to MS, is just wrong.

And Renault is doing deceptively well... only one podium appearance at 3rd place, but they are quite comfortable in 2nd place for constructors.

And Kimi... finally got your first point... way to go!

IMO, Button is a really good egg & good driver >

who was man enough to silently put up with crappy BAR & Jacques Villeneuve for several years, knowing his persistence would prevail. Now he has a rather good car, and he is, quietly & humbly, allowing his talent to shine. Compare him to JPM. I'll take Button any day...and apparently MS thinks the same way.

JB could very well be MS's replacement..

at Ferrari. Got a sense that MS is making mental note of who he sees as a likely fit. Williams better move fast on this..

If you\'re hooked now, just wait until there\'s an>>

actual race instead of that 1-lap tussle followed by the most boring parade I've fast-forwarded through since CART at Long Beach.
If Montoya didn't try that pass this board would have been even deader than normal.

Re: Montoya, STFU, you whiny wanker

What's the alternative for BMW? Atleast Montoya can finish races on the podium. Ralph can't find the apex to the turn, much less the way to the podium. If Ralph would stop missing the apex by 10 feet, leaving the door open to be challenged, he wouldn't be getting side-swiped and loosing finish postions, and valuable points.

What would the ruling have been if JPM would have

stayed put and taken the hit? It definitly would have been avoidable...on an inside overtaking where you close the door and hit someone also known as the Ralph S. you get dinged by the FIA.

It would seem to me on an outside overtaking at the beginning of a race where the speed into the turn was relatively moderate and therefore the car in the lead doesn't really need the room to turn out the advantage is still the lead car's b/c he has the shorter track. So why give even more advantage to MS by saying he was justified in clearly altering his course and putting a driver off the track. I always thought that just b/c the driver got out of your way to avoid a collision did not change the way it was viewed by race officials but I know in reality not so true...I don't know enough to judge but it seemed to me a bit reckless and a great bit of MS driving.

I would never take Button over Montoya

JPM is one of the best in F1. You don't win more poles than MS in your 2nd year of F1 and then nearly grab WDC in your 3rd year if you're not something special. He has amazing speed, passing ability and control. Jenson Button has one pole and a couple decent races and he's suddenly everyone's favorite? I don't see him in the Raikkonen, Alosno, Montoya league yet.
