Independent repair shop in San Jose?

I read a previous thread and so far, I've got 2 places that I will check out: Motor Speed West and Dinan. I've used Dinan for chipping but never thought they did other repair work. Are there any others that people would recommend?

Also, are there independent shops to avoid? I'm looking at BMW Auto Service Independent in Sunnyvale and BMB Motors (also in Svl). Any word on them.

Please list any independent shop you'd recommend (other than Dinan & Motor Speed West) OR any ones you'd like to warn others about.

I have used European Car on Fair Oaks right where it crosses Central Expressway, on fairly regular occasions. Seem fair and have done good work, IMO. They also service MB, just to let you know.

I used BMW Auto Service Independent once, just to swap out my front struts, struts were off the car. Charged me a flat rate of $85 for an hour's work, not bad!

And a good shop in Cupertino is a place called "The Driving Machine", also highly reputable.
