Dont know who you are getting ready to mention But I have dealt with Performance Motor Works in Rocklin and they are great. Both Dave the Owner, and Beth the service advisor were extremely friendly and helpful and the prices seem very competitive.

No, I was going to mention Salerno Motorsports

Ben & Janet Salerno are the owners. Last night we were at a party and a guy who owns a 750il was telling us about this shop that works on Ferrari's, Porsche, BMWs and Mercs. He couldn't say enough positive things about the owners and their work, plus he felt their costs were very fair. I have the address if anyone is interested.

It's always good to know if recommended shops in the area. Not just anyone works on my car!

I've heard a few horror stories from CCA

regarding repairs on their BMW's at this shop in Rocklin recently.

I wouldnt take my BMW there if they paid me!!!

back in the day they were a pretty good shop. I think they have had problems with employee turnover...which has resulted in a lack of quality control...

Ben Salerno is the only person in the Sacramento

area that I will let anywhere near my heavily tracked 98 M Roadster. In Milpitas I highly recommend Ramon LeFrancois of Bavarian Motorsport. Ramon took care of me when Ben was too booked to squeeze me in for a quick emergency job. Both of these shops charge a fair price for super high quality work.

Re: No, I was going to mention Salerno Motorsports

Ben works on my car, a 1969 Porsche 911E Targa, and he works on many far more exotic machines as well. He has ALWAYS treated me fairly and given me great service. It is so nice to have a mechanic I can trust. I guess I will always have to own one of the cars he services. Oh, Darn :)
