Re: 1989 Chevy Camaro RS
Ok you and I are probably close to the same age, I'm guessing because you owned an 89 mustang. The camaro came with its share of issues, but give the devil it's dues, I drove it for a 153,000 miles and 10 years. In the end, it was basically held up with scotch tape and staples. Now, I have a 95, 740iL - a very different animal

1931 Ford Model A Sport Coupe (fixed soft top)
Held on to it as long as my Dad would let me keep it in the shed, but finally had to let it go because he said it was "unsightly". Go figure.
Paid $20 for it and sold it for $200 15 years later. Current 1929 Roadster pickup is in my barn and serving well as grandkids chariot for family picnics.
Oh, the shark, babe,
Has such teeth, dear
And it shows them,
Pearly white

Re: what was your 1st car, i know many of you are old
The year was 1973 -- I was 16. The car was a 1966 Chev Impala 4-door, 327 cubics, 3-speed automatic with the Holly 4-barrell carb. I added dual glass-pak exhausts (Ummmmmm-pahh...), chrome mags with 60" wide-trac tires, adjustable air shocks on the rear to lift it. It desparately needed a paint job from the much faded green (which I never got to), as well as new dashboad cover, new rear window deck, and a headliner. But, I did put in an 8-track player with 4 spears (2 on the rear deck, two under the front bench seat. Alas, I wrapped it around a pole late one night before I could finish spending my hard earned money on it.
