    Eurobahn has a modchip out already.

    I am sure there are some more out there but these are some of the better ones that I found.

    Re: performance mod

    here's one: change out your boat-anchor stock bmw wheels for something that's 5+ lbs lighter per corner and you should net some performance gains, both in acceleration, braking, and quite possibly handling as well. - al.

    Spent about $2400 on performance mods so far(m)

    I'm on Stage 8 driving software upgrade right now and I can pass E46 M3s and E39 M5s EASILY on the banking oval at California Speedway.

    Best of all, the software transfers from my Z4 to my 323Ci as easily as turning off the ignition on the Z4, unlock the 323Ci, sit in driver's seat, turn on the 323Ci.

    Can't wait until the Stage 9 at Thunderhill next month.

    Sorry. See following link...

    Best MOD you'll ever make, period. Biggest bang for the buck. Will make your Z4 run circles around Porkchops and Ferraris.

    Guess you don't drive a Z4

    at those events. Or do you have a roll bar? 2 words that suck all the fun out of being a z4 owner... no convertibles!

    Skills you learn from those events are applicable

    No matter WHAT you drive.

    I drive my 323Ci at those events. The same skills that I learned from those driving events are 100% transferable to the Z4.

    You won't understand unless you try it(m)

    Sure, my 323Ci may only make 170 HP. But the fact still remains that it is passing M3s and M5s with EASE on the track because I've learned the valuable skills to squeeze more performance out of it. Can you say the same about you and your Z4?

    We had one at a BMW track event last year;

    this year they have additional convertible rules, but you\'d be fine to run by just adding a 5- or 6-point. And other car clubs in the area will let you run stock.

    I\'m surprised nobody is selling a roll bar for the Z4 yet, though.
