Z3 Enthusiast Saying Hello
Hi Everyone,
Just wanted to pop in and say hello. I have a 2000 Z3 that I love. It is black with black interior. I have 4 questions.
1. How do you keep your wheels clean from brake dust?
2. Do snow tires really work in the winter?
3. Where can I get a bra for my Z3 (not sure if I like them) or protect my grill and front end from rocks.
4. Are there any Z3 clubs in Massachusetts?

Re: Z3 Enthusiast Saying Hello
1. Change your brake pads, OEM's dust without mercy. Check the search function under the Z3 boards for options. You'll still get dust, just not as bad or as fast
2. 4 snow tires work, 2 do not. Figure on a set of winter wheels too.
3. Most folks have gone the clear vinyl covering route, usually referred to as xpel. There are fabric bra's available. Check the archives again.
4. If there is an organization besides BMWCCA, it'll probably be associated with ZSCCA, www.zscca.org
Welcome to the club. Now wipe that grin off your face - if you can.nixoda

Re: Z3 Enthusiast Saying Hello
Hello,
I used Axxis Deluxe Plus pads on my 540, and it reduced dust to almost nothing, many of the 5 series owners on this board use them.
Winter tires work very well in conjunction with DSP, my car feels more confident in snow than a Toyota front wheel drive.
For bra, I have Stonegard (transparent film) on mine, it's great. I used fabric/vinyl bra on my old E34, it flaps around quite a bit and I had you take it off to clean very often, otherwise the elements get trapped inside and scratch the paint.
