Ideas about bringing into USA...

Here's a nice idea to those of us in the usa that want this car. Apparently it will be available in Mexico. All you need to do is bring some cash and get one. Not sure when, but I don't see why if you want this car you cannot do that. As far as california emmitions go, I think you are on your own on that one. Not sure if it will pass or not. However there is a 4-year bi for smog checks :)

I don't think canada is bringing them in. If they are I would rather get one from them than mexico

warranty, spare parts, CA emissions. I once thought about importing Mercedes Vito (passenger van), will not pass US specs, different lights, etc. DOT (department of transportation) is a biatch....

Where did you get your info that BMW was bringing the 1 Series to Canada?

I have not been able to find any info on the web to comfirm this rumor.
