    E30 Track tire suggestions

I just got an e30 325e that I'm going to build slowly into a club racer. For now it has a nice suspension setup that will allow me to enjoy autocrosses and drivers schools while I build the other engine I have for it. In the meantime I would like to get a set of 15" rims and slicks, but I don't know much about them. Any suggestions as to a good pair of starter slicks? Something economical would be best, but I might be willing to splurge if the quality issue is too enormous. Thanks in advance!

Azenis hates tread temps over 120, loses traction>

Go with Kumho Ecsta MX, street tire, cheap, does better in the heat.

Don't go to race tires until you have at least a half dozen track days under your belt, they have grip that can mask driving mistakes that you don;t want to develop at the beginning.

I've got about that many track days already...

wouldn't be "investing" in a track car otherwise. I just want to have a decent extra set thrasher tires on my car - it dies w/ tread temps over 120? wtf - I'm assuming you know this from personal experience... if so - that's very not cool...
