what the hell is going on in F1 these days?

button to williams. bar claims they have have bound by contract to bar for next year. button announced the he is going to williams next year. david richards say button is staying at bar. mika hakkinen is now semi-tied to a seat at bar for 2005. i knew silly season got pretty silly, but this is absolutely crazy. sounds to me like all the team managers got together, got drunk, and then played some poker with their drivers at stake, and then completely forgot what happened.

it's a demo. so guess what the details are.

yep, Williams is set to have the strongest lineup

again. Well, after MS & Rubbino. JPM and KR will knock each other off, JB and MW seems a bit more mature. Doubt Mika will come back for BAR, a 2nd tiered team in the long run. <html>

i dont know, not really a bmw f1 fan at the moment

i flipflopped based on drivers on a team, or something that catches my eye. i like kimi and mark webber. but i just love to watch the sport. i enjoy watching races now to see if schumi will dominate b/c i enjoy watching him kick everybody's butt. i think its awesome to see how long he can keep this up. and the competition for 2nd place and back is getting better and better.

but yeah, good for williams. i will certainly be rooting for webber next year. i used to root for button this year b/c he is young and i wish i could be in f1. but frankly, i couldnt give two craps about him anymore. he is not a nice guy. i know its a very serious sport. but you shouldn't do what he did to bar. one way or the other if bar missed the option for his contract, he knew they were taking the option. people have been working real hard to build him a car that can win in. i wanted real bad for him to win and for next year to fight for the drivers championship. i just dont understand why he would leave bar like that. it looked as if they had such a great relationship going between richards and button and even honda and geoff willis. why leave bar for williams? doesn't make sense. at least someone else will get a great car.

it's a demo. so guess what the details are.

Wild! Great that Williams got Button and Webber. Now let get rid of all the wierd BS - illegal brake ducts, unstable chassis, slipping clutch at the start - and take the constructors in '05! Go Williams! Hammer down all the way!!!

Is your shift key broken? ...

Not giving you ****e, but with caps where appropriate posts are much easier on the reader.

As far as Button goes, I doubt it was his idea. I can see his manager seeing a loop hole, albeit tiny, and putting JB up to the move. More $ for JB (and, of course, the agent). Williams no doubt assured them that the Walrus was dead and that the FW27 would be a serious contender. JB saw a chance for a good ride with a first tier team and went for it.

Richards deserves some payback for the way he treated JV last season - I for one hope he gets it.

Agree, and don't forget Fred and Fisi duo ...

I'd say Williams have incredible potential in their drivers, but based on what they've done they can't be rated much more than 4th right now and that may be generous.

If the team gets together a good car and (this is a real big factor) Michelin gets the upper edge back in tires, and Michaels can manage and nuture his two drivers we'll be seeing a whole bunch of podiums next season.

How's that for a bunch of ifs that have to come together!
