'93 e36 325is wheel sizes for BMWCCA and SCCA ITS

I was wondering what wheel sizes were legal on a '93 325is for BMWCCA and SCCA ITS classes. My car originally came with 15" rims I have heard read of restrictions on increasing wheel size beyong 1".

Also, does someone know if aftermarket cams are allowed for my car in BMWCCA and SCCA ITS?

In BMW CCA Club Racing you are allowed 1" wider and 1" greater diameter "than originally supplied".
I would ask BMW CCA Tech if that means *your* car as originally delivered, or on the 3-series of that year. The Sport package option usually had a 16" wheel.

Then find the lightest wheel in the size :)

Ooops...should have added that this applies to Stock class.

On Prepared class cars you can use any DOT tires and wheel combo "which fits under the stock body without modification exceeding 'rolling' or 'grinding' of the outer fender lip."

On Modified class cars just about anything is OK, as long as it's deemed 'safe'.

In SCCA ITS you CANNOT swap hipo cams, big brakes, or go to larger DIAMETER wheels.

In ITS the maximum wheel for an E36 is 15x7. Spacers are allowed as long as no bodywork mods are then made.

Actually, 16 x 7 is allowed in SCCA ITS. 16 inch is listed in the GCR (ITCS-26) as an option for the E36. 7 inch is the max width. Trick is, go find a strong, light 16 x 7 inch wheel. Neither SSR, BBS, or Kosei make one.
