Looking 4 info on 3.5CSL that raced @ Historics

Hello all -

Anybody have any info on this Factory team CSL that raced in the last race on Sunday at the Monterey Historics? I know it is car #2275985 and won the '75 Sebring 12-Hour with Brian Redman, Allan Moffat, Sam Posey and Hans-Joachim Stuck driving. Does BMW NA (Mobile Traditions) still own this car or who????? and most importantly, who was drving the car in the race. Brian Redman won the race in Porsche 908/3.

I saw that car at Willow Springs a few years ago. VERY NICE person, he let me drive it around the paddock until I burst into tears of joy.

I believe his name is Phillip Slater. This is totally off memory. From what I recall he's a Porsche Owner's Club or Porsche Club of America member that bought the car from an enthusiast a few years back. I THINK he lives in southern CA, Irvine even...

I believe he is an editor for Car & Driver. Does he drive for BMW NA as well?????

to drive it as well as the 908 that is owned by the Miles Collier Museum, until both were gridded into the same race. Brian spoke with me about this when I was staying at his home last month, and he was REALLY disappointed to not be able to drive the CSL...
