I need a new head gasket for my 4Runner. Stealer said $2100. Ugghhhh Cough Cough. Five minutes on the net and I found a new motor for $2195. What is Herb Chambers smoking?

Cullen is the owner. 603-71-SPEED. He mainly does Yota trucks, and 4Runners and also builds kickin custom exhausts. He made the 2", cross over, high flow staggered cat, set up on my 91 e30m50 car. He's a cool cat, check him out. Just off of exit 12S off of 93 on Rte 3A past Grappone Auto Junction.

I assume this is for a '90-95 4Runner with the 3.0L 3VZ-E V6 engine. Call another Toyota dealer with the VIN, tell them your head gasket is leaking, have them check to see if they've been replaced yet under the SSC. It's not a recall, it's referred to as a Special Service Campaign. If they start to leak, then Toyota will replace them for free. It's only supposed to go 100K or 8 years, but Rockingham Toyota in Salem NH did the HGs in my wife's '94 xcab pickup last summer with 156K on it, no questions or problems.
