show and Shine questions.....
I will be a virgin show attender and was wondering a few things.
My 99 E36 looks good, but the front end paint has taken a beating on I495 going 85-90 mph everyday for 2 years (about 40K miles each year). The windshield was replaced last year due to the pits, but the pits are back again. The lights are pitted also. I bought a nice bra from bavauto that covers most of the damage.
I'm just curious if I should attend the show because my car is not perfect. I enjoy E36'ers and just wanted some feedback.
The car is black on black with 5 speed and overall looks good, unless you get real close and start looking hard.
Do only the perfect cars show up?

Re: show and Shine questions.....
Hi Ken,
I have never gone to the Bavauto Show & Shine ,but from what I hear from others on this board that have ,it is a "fun" thing & not so much a competition.I am sure none of our cars are perfect & as I said before "We are our own toughest judges " Hey I am going to bring a 20 year old car ,its not a show piece or garage queen.I drive this car lots ! Its a fun car to drive & I will leave my Z4 home. I dont think We have to enter our cars to attend the show. drive up with us & hangout. Could some of you guys that have gone to this event fill us in on what goes on ?

definitely come, it's a low-key affair
mainly about hanging out with other enthusiasts. personally, i won't spend any more time than usual on my car, but my usual would make most people beg for mercy ;-)
