Well, that was a fun night! Our joint on the Mtn +
is still standing: shaken/stirred, but still hanging onto this slope.
We jes'got our phone lines back, so I fired up the 'puter...
A wet basement, wet wood floor in fam room, wet ceiling/insulation in basement, but still standing. Huge and medium and small trees down all over the slope. It looks like early Nov., so many of the trees are stripped naked. Our private road is impassable; spent the day w/Stihl chainsaw in hand. Will take another full day to get out, I suspect. The branches/limb and leaf litter is 3 feet deep on the drive and road and 2 feet thick on the roof.
We have "rivers" coming out of the side of the mtn that I've never seen before, lol! In 3 yrs of tough weather here, I've never experienced a storm like this. Generac gen is running its azz off and we are doing ok. The house is here, most of our junque is ok and by comparison to many who suffered severe losses due to Ivan, we are in fine fettle. My sincere thanks to all of you Faves&Regs for your kind regards and wishes. It was one scarysumbitc h night. Glad to be fooking alive. xoxox Ol'UncleMotor

Whew!
Good to hear all is well. It's 9:00 pm Friday night in Philly and the low clouds are moving in. Rain expected soon and through the night. I marshall a bicycle race tomorrow in a town about 45 minutes North of here and I expect rain through it all. It will be a good test of the new 1100 S and my rain gear.
