where to open it up??

Hi..where can a person go to drive over the speed limit? I'd like to SAFELY "open up" my BMW and get a feel for how it does at 100mph or more. The CHP should have special locations for us to floorboard it and see how fast our cars can go.

there is no "safe" place to "test" our top-speeds or performance at triple digits
BUT!
a few years ago i did max out a 530i (e34) and DAMN did it feel good at high speeds....
this was on highway 80 headed towards sacramento in dixon
nice flat straight! 'nuff said
although it WAS quite risky as there are a lot of cops in the area
but it was at 3 am
going the opposite way in dixon i was in my friend's car when we hit 150 in a 2001 honda prelude (yup.... NO LIMITER)
we were "racing" a souped up audi s4 good god does that twin turbo kick [Oops!]
simply put, he dusted us and hit 150 WAY before us ;]
don't do it on highway 5 going towards los angeles as there are many CHP's rolling around
be careful! speed is addictive
