    e39 M5 rear spoiler

    hey guys,

i stopped by the BMW Bellevue on Saturday to find the price on the e39 M5 rear spoiler.
i thought these go for like $100 or something but it was pretty cheapper than what i thought, $47.13 + tax(4.15)

the part# is 51-13-7-038-156 and the description says moulding.... i'm still wondering why they don't call it as the rear spoiler....

    hahahahaha!!! no more BMW Bellevue!!!

so i just called the BMW of seattle and guess what this part# belongs to? it goes on the trunk lid but it goes somewhere below the bmw emblem, and the real price for the e39 M5 rear spoiler is $180 + tax, of course ;)

man... i've heard few bad stories on BMW bellevue but i've never thought it would turn out this badly hahahha!
the issue here is that, let's just say i placed an order with bmw bellevue while i was there, which means that i will get the wrong part few weeks later and at the same time i will have to pay for 25% of restocking fee since i would never use that chrome moulding on my bimmer.

what a waste of my freaken time...

    $.02...

Order from Crevier BMW (look at specialty forums)

They've been great to me and have awesome prices.

For example, BMW of Bellevue wanted over 1k for the flywheel on my car, but Crevier BMW had it for $556. Eastside Bavarian was amazed I could get it for that price.

It's so simple I do it myself. If you need a 36mm

socket to get the oil filter canister open, let me know and I'll let you borrow it.

The way these cars are setup it really is a piece of cake.

I also do it myself because I like using Mobile 1 0-W40

I use the slip wrench in the trunk kit

with a rag to keep it from damaging the plastic. Never did buy a 36mm wrench, but I probably should have one in the tool box. M.Wong
