Here's another!
I don't hang around here much either, but always on the E46 M3 board. Just saw your post on a Banff skiing trip. Sounds like fun. I plan to spend as much time as possible out on the slopes this year! Maybe we can meet up!

Sounds good, I just put winters on the car...
I have usually parked it for the winter but I thought what the hell. I get so many rock chips driving around Calgary anyways it won't make a difference. We are doing Banff this year, we have done somewhere different for the past 5 or 6 years and we decided to do something a little closer to home.

Mine's the garge queen this winter...
Keeping it inside for the winter. I had planned getting winter shoes for it, but after seeing how everyone reacted to our snowfall recently, I'm afraid for it's safety. I'm confident of my driving, but I've seen too many yahoos sliding through intersections, driving waay too fast for the conditions, etc. that I couldn't bear it if my M got hit.
I've got a beater car that'll serve me well through winter.
Gonna go get me a pair of skiis this year (always been renting so far). Time to get my own!

I have an F-350 for when the snow is really on the
road but I sold my house with a garage and I have been trying to put up a shelter for the M3 but I need to get a building permit even for a temporary tent like thing. City of Calgary looking for money!
I just bought new boots and will probably get new skis this season too, although I wouldn't mind improving my snowboarding this year.

Re: Here's another!
Ya, I also want to spend more time on the hill this year. I hate to have to drive my 635 to the hill, even though it is a good winter driver. I have been looking for a 5-series touring but have found nothing reasonable. I see a Mercedes 4Matic on canadatrader.com for 14 grand...it catches my eye because I would not mind sharing that with my daughter. (My wife gets the Volvo XC)
