    Landshark Automotive in Natick. Experiences?

In a few months the CPO runs out, and I'll have to say goodbye to the $tealer...

I've had a few bad experiences with Autobahn in Natick, and wanted to give these people a try...

    Opinions?

    Best,

Just curious, what were your "bad experiences" with Autobahn? I've used them, and so far found them OK. Buit I'm always looking for something better.

Re: Landshark Automotive in Natick. Experiences?

I have two issue with them, shoddy work and attitude.

The shoddy work came when they mounted/balanced new shoes on my M5 wheels. When I picked them up, Chip mentioned that he'd had a "heck of a time getting them on."

What I didn't notice until the next day (because I picked the car up in a driving rain storm) was that they had scuffed the hell out of my wheels. It maybe just cosmetic damage, but it pissed me off that he did it and then didn't tell me about it.

Add to that Chip's attitude, which I find patronizing, and I'm not going back. Life is too short...

I had a good initial impression of Landshark, but they have yet to touch the car, so we'll see....

Keep us posted. I've seen their ads, but don't know anyone who's used them yet. What are you having done?

    will do.

Something is sweaking up front, most likely the sway bar links or bushings... They're gonna investigate and fix when it's time for the snow shoes....

Is this a coincidence or is their one shop with 2 names.
I don't know of Landshark but the proprieter of Autobahn goes by the name of Chip.
He had a 89 525i for sale and wanted $6500.
I asked if it came from Florida since the paint was broken. No, not a Florida car.
    Goin by there tonight.

Don't try to go into Autobahn with your own parts

...they either won't touch them, or will charge you twice the labor for that job to make up for not selling you the parts themself...______

    Re: Landshark Automotive

I used them over the summer for an a/c condenser replacement. Slightly better value than the dealer, work quality was fine and they did point out a leaking rear shock that I had to replace. The guys working there seem to be ex-Foreign Motors West employees and so are BMW certified.

    Recent Experience

I had LandShark work on my '97 M3/4. Inspection 2, install Xbrace, EVO 3 SSK, change all fluids, Aluminum thermostat housing. Professionally done, finished when promised, I recommend them highly.

    Positive experience

Had a problem installing a Ron Stygar clutch pedal. Tried Autobahn. They told me they wouldn't install parts unless parts were purchased from them. Tried Landshark. They were happy to do it.

They seem like BMW enthusiasts as well.

    Landshark Automotive great place...

The guys there know their BMW.
I highly recommend them. They flushed my power steering
fluid and explained the whole process. Bought several
parts from them , installed it myself with there guidance.

    Lenny, you guys rock!

    Two thumbs up!

Lenny reset my airbag light as a courtesy and they just flushed my cooling system. Great people, great prices.

Chip runs Autobahn which is also in Natick, but no connection to Landshark. I prefer Lenny over Chip.
