60k miles inspection 2 service
hey guys!
i just called around BMW bellevue, seattle, & northwest(in fife) to get a price quote on 60k miles inspection 2 service for my 99 528i.
guess what? hahahaha there are few hundred dollars differences between all above dealers' service dept.
here is what i've found out few minutes ago;
1. bellevue wants $950+tax
2. seattle wants $850+tax
3. northwest wants $755+tax
as you can see from above, the bmw bellevue is charging nearly $200 more for the same service, assuming the fact that they all go by the same bmw NA inspection2 list.
my car hasn't reached 60k miles yet, it's still at 54k miles as of today.
i guess i will bring in my bimmer to the place where i bought mine originally, bmw northwest, when the time comes.....
what do you guys think?

Inspection II
I'd also call Car Tender in Seattle or Eastside Bavarian in Issaquah.
And be sure you are comparing apples to apples. Some might add for things like spark plugs, differential fluid replacement, O2 sensors, or brake fluid replacement... things suggested at different intervals.

Take it to an import mechanic...
pay him for 1 hour labor. Tell him you want a "used" vehicle inspection. Every major component must be checked. Tell him you might have him do the work (this way he'll be sure to check EVERYTHING).
After you get the list then start nickel and diming it.
Staw away from the stealer.

Like jim86325es...
I do as much (that I am comfortable with) on this list myself. Oil change, air filter, check light bulbs, replace remote key battery, etc. There are a few things I don't mind paying for, but several items are very easy to do yourself.
I buy my parts from Crevier BMW via the Crevier Parts Counter board on Roadfly. Saves a bunch in parts.
Then I take my car to an independent and list what I don't need done. Saves a little in labor.
Inspection I and II lists
My E30 came from Fife. But I live up north so the E38 (CPO) and E39 (still under warranty) go to BMW Seattle. I have been very happy with them.M.Wong
