You must help the state of the NFL. It is being ruined by owners like John York of the San Francisco 49ers who have raped their teams of all talent and resources for their personal profit. In case you don't know who John York is, he is the wife of Denise DeBartolo-York, sister to Eddie DeBartolo- the man who single handedly built the greatest franchise professional sports has ever seen. York married into the team once Eddie was banned from the NFL (yes he was framed and the NFL is getting ready to release the truth soon you can check out Paul Tagliabue's personal site through NFL.com).

York has proceeded to cut costs- players are no longer given a post game meal, do not have a training camp, drink from a hose sink during practice because he no longer pays for gatorade or even bottled water, the team takes standby flights instead of charter like all other NFL teams do and is often late to road games because of this, players are not allowed to use company letterheads or stamps, are no longer given trophies and commemorative buckles (they won't win anymore so this is a moot point) and on top of all this he has raised ticket prices to $85 dollars per game (opposed to most teams' $45 dollar tickets).

Don't do this for the 49ers, after all those years of success they deserve to feel what it is like to suck, but do this for the NFL and all of professional sports to protect us fans from greedy owners who rape the fans and their teams for personal profit.

This site is a petition which will be submitted at various intervals to the San Francisco city council and the NFL Commisioner's office to help rid the world of these megamillionaires who are addicted to pillaging the poor. (York's worth is in the billions simply because of the $200 million dollar profit he makes each year not from ticket sales because the stadium is no longer even half full). For some people, as pathetic as it might be, sports is all they have to look forward to in life.

If owners like John York are in it for the money as they have so admitted, they should seek other ventures and not rob the millions of fans who follow sports.
