78' 530i camshaft neede(Used) or now

I need a 78' 530i camshaft . Do all m30's carry the same camshft??

[e28/e24 butlertron 5000 in NM]

I dont know anything about which is best. I'd go for an M30B34 or B35 cam. Or an aftermarket regrind, like a 272 or 288. But any M30 one will work.

i would use cam from e3 prefer carb virsion but fuel injected will work i would also use the head to it fits plus you would get alot more horse power big power diff but have same moters?heads and cams are there diffs
