    Yes, I have twin sons who are seniors in HS.

    I hope they think I'm cool. One son takes after me in that he loves Bimmers. His dream is to get an M5. I told him to do good in school, get a good job, save his money and he can have whatever he wants. I'm blessed with a great family. I even let the boys drive my car. Many people in the E39 Lounge couldn't believe I'd let them drive the car.

    So, you're a VW fan? Closest I came to owning an VW was in 1974 or 75 when my now ex-husband had a bug. It was a cute light blue thing. The engine blew, he was too lazy to fix it, so he put an ad in the paper to sell it. I knew he had done a bad thing when a zillion people called at 7 a.m. wanting to buy it, especially since the ad said to call after 2 p.m.

    Which car do you commute in? How's the gas mileage on the E60s?

    VW = work...

    ...E60 = pleasure.

    I'm averaging right now about 43mpg in the VW Golf TDI - If I go JUST to & from work w/no "little" trips inbetween, I can go the entire week (M-F) on a single tank = fill up Sunday night, need to refuel Friday night.

    E60 I think does rather well. I've only made one "long" trip to Sacto and I averaged 26 (approx.). Albeit both are still in the "break in period. I took delivery of them October 9th and only have 1,200 on each... Compared to my 2002 TDI which now has 90 THOUSAND mi.!!!!!!iDriveyguy

    Ah, I see. 43MPG is good!

    I have a very short commute, so my 21-month old car only has 14K on it. MPG around town is about 17.5ish. Freeway driving gives me 25ish.
