Good alternative to Westbrook for mid-coasters...

Wanted to throw in a recommendation for those of us living around mid-coast Maine that I had a good experience with Atlantic Motorcars in Wiscasset. They now service BMW's and I recently had an Inspection II done on my 97 Z3 2.8. They did a wonderful job and would recommend them to any BMW owners who might be closer to Wiscasset than Westbrook.

Dunno... only one I know of is Ayer's in Gardiner

I think that's where Town Line Autowerks is as well. I've heard the guy at Ayer's is good, but not sure if they service BMW's.

They're on Rt. 1 across from the Irving station in

the old emissions test facility. It's been completely converted to a 4(?)-bay garage and they service BMW's, Volvo's, Audi's etc....

Only down side to Town Line Auto Werkes is that they don't allow you to watch the work being done....giving the excuse of insurance policy. Also they are a bit high on part, Bilstein HD for a 97 328i was $250 apiece.....bavauto, BMP, etc were $138.00. Labor rates are great, I had a clutch job and it only cost $650. Nice guys too, Voit is a magician when it comes to BMWs. He actually helped write the bently manual for the 5 series.
