Hey Viv, got a question for ya>>

I heard from Wynn that the Volcano run was great and it is near Jackson. Can you give me some more details about this area? We will be staying in Jackson over New Year's, sounds like something that may be fun to do/check out. Feel free to contact me directly, if you want to take this off line.

    TIA!!!
    Cheers, Bob

Indian Grinding Rock Park, Calaveras Big Trees...

Sutter Creek if you like antique stores and art galleries. Just a bit further north for good wine country is Plymouth. Day drive south on 49 is Columbia State Park. In between is Murphys mining town; California Caverns near Sheep Ranch for some spectacular cave formations...

    Caverns

I have gone to both caverns, the one near Murphys/Sheep ranch and the one near Volcano. The one near Sheep ranch is the better of the two.

Done the cavern thing by Murphy's too . . .

in summer. I think it would not be as good during winter, as it was nice to get out of the hot weather and down into the Earth.

But thanks for all the tips guys and gals!!!
    Cheers, Bob
