Intro - New 88 750il owner in Beaverton, OR

I just traded for my 1st BMW. I just got it about a month ago. The PO said he ran out of gas and it didn't start anymore. We after a lot of research and wrenching, I found out why. The engine was damaged. The compression was bad, and one of the pistons was breaking apart. Well, that what I get for trading my runnig Porsche 944 for a none running BMW. Well needlesstosay, I am suppost to get my new engine tommorrow. Hopefully I will have it started and running this weekend.

    Wish me luck.

I traded it for a 84 Porsche 944 that needed a new paint job and some body work. I am on my 3rd engine, but it is still not running well. The passenger side bank is still not running and I have bad crankcase preasure. I am at a loss and am going to be taking it to a shop (Mike O'Hara) on Monday. I'll see what he thinks.Ken P
