    1995 740iL rear shock conversion

I am trying to convert the hydraulic load leveling shocks to bilsteins and have discovered that unlike my M-6, the hydraulic system is not a standalone system. Is it shared with the power steering? How/where do I cap this system without problems with the power steering.

    The "T" block at the

Rear of the car where HP fluid splits to the controllers to the old Hyd units- I got a piece of the steel hyd line just long enought to connect both outputs together--- fluid come in-don't go out....worked great....then removed the accumulators-sold them to a guy with one dead one for almost what the replacement conventional struts cost.....

    Re: The

So the output to the left and right sides of the car is simply looped back together? I assume this is the junction where the main line comes from the front of the car to the "T" as you call it where it splits?

    If possible

Take one of the old line pieces in- the thread is not uncommon but you need for it be exactly right-

    Re: If possible

I looked at the schematic at
    http://www.realoem.com/bmw/showparts.do?model=GJ63&mospid=47530&prod=19950400 &btnr=33_0451&hg=33&fg=50
Is the loop done at the regulating valve or at the distribution piece?
If it is the regulating valve, I assume the top fitting goes to the distribution piece and then to the accumulators. That piping I leave in place I assume.
Am I connecting the lower fittings (I assume inlet and return) together so it simply recirculates?I guess I am a bit confused once I look at the valve. I am guessing that the inlet side will be under pressure and must be connected to the return to prevent excessive pressure on the pump.
    Thanks for your reply.

    At the "T" piece.

The pump has internal pressure relief...
