    The 85 3.5 can have an 061 or an 059 and maybe>

others. The 061 will be for the HC dirty motors and the 059 will be for the LC green motors. Which motor do you have? Is it the one that came with the car? What is the VIN if you don't know which motor. In 85 BMW started to offer the clean cat-equipped motor and a cat-ready motor in addition to the dirty motor.

    82-84 ECU's 008 & 011 are interchangeable

they are for the first generation motronic b3,4 engines. when i bought my 84 635 euro it also had a -008 ECU and then i later retro-fitted a -011 ECU. in all honesty, i did not notice a difference.

i'm almost positive that theres an interchageble euro ECU for the -059 (85-87); i think it is -018 or something. somewhere out in internet world, there is a list/table that explains all of this. i think i printed out a copy. if i find it, i will post it.

I have an 061 ecu also. Is it interchangeable with an 059. I want to put an o2 sensor properly on my 85 euro, and I havent ever seen my ecu mentioned before, 061. Would appreciate it, cause im concerned on ecu functioning. also, is it the same pinouts for euro as us. thansk
