Track insurance in Mass.
I live in Massachusettes and my insurance carrier does not cover the car while it is on a track, regardless of the event. I have read somewhere that this is a general MA policy. Does this also mean that track insurance is not availible if your residence is in MA? Can anyone point me in the direction of providers of track insurance.

out of luck
No options in MA. I went down this whole route when I moved to this god forsaken state. There is nothing out there. When you take your car out on the track during a drivers school you have no coverage for your car and no liability coverage if someone else gets hurt. It's one thing to wreck your car and pay your own medical bills but your liability is wide open if you hit or hurt someone else.
The BMW club carries insurance but it is not for participants only to protect the club from the participants. Not sure what other clubs and the SCCA offer in terms of event insurance. Probably, best bet is to find schools that have event insurance that do offer participant coverage.

Re: out of luck
Thanks David,
I was comming to this same conclusion (about insurance and the state), but I have a colleague that was an instructor for the Porsche club and he mentioned a provider. I'm still trying to follow up with him and if this pans out, I'll definitely throw it up on the board.
