anyone experiece with tracking and tracing systems

Hi,

I'm a Dutch owner of a ' 99 E38. And I wanna be the owner.
In my car there's build in a tracking and tracing system called Intellitrac X8. But I don't have any further information of this device. On the Internet I've found the manufacturer but he could'nt help me because in Holland there's no distributor.

Does someone of you have any experience with this or a suimular device?

I can put the Simcard in it. When i call the number of the Simcard I can see that the device is reached the LED flashes) but I don't get any message on my mobile to trace the car.
