Good garages in Santa Monica, California or WLA
Who are the best garages in West Los Angeles area for
BMW routine service? Who are the good BMW dealers in Los Angeles? How is South Bay BMW.
Anyone else have negative experiences with Santa Monica BMW dealership, as did
another poster to this forum?

I can recommend German auto technick on 19th
A small shop just north of Olympic on 19th in Santa Monica. Two nice German Mechanic's run the place, Hans and Guntrum. they are very straight up, no BS with me so far after 2 years, and they have always gotten my car back to me within a day. I use them for routine maintience as well as repairs. I had my front brakes done, thinking I needed new rotors and they came back and said Nahhh... next time. your rotors are OK for now. How often do you get that? It would have been an easy extra $100 in their pockets just to agree with me.
And yes SM BMW SUCKS!!!! Lousy service, lousy customer service, lousy parts department, lousy attitude, just plain lousy!
Friendlier people at South Bay, but I don't have any experience with their service dept.

Re: I can recommend German auto technick on 19th
Thanks for the tip on German Auto Technick. I've also heard they are good from some other people so I might try them then.
A good place for brakes (I've been going there for 20 years) is Harbor Brake Service
in San Pedro, CA. On Pacific Ave. 3rd generation owner. Super high-quality, honest as hell.
